Purpose and Access

Permission Helper is a tool allowing space users to view selected space’s settings on a dedicated tab.

If a user has permission to use this functionality (defined by JIRA administrator), a tab with the space settings description is available within a space. Permission Helper section is also duplicated in space setting section (Spase settings → Apps → Jira Permission Helper).

Interface Overview

When you access the Permission Helper tab, you will see two tabs:

• Permissions

• Issue Security

Permissions

Displays information about the space’s permission scheme.

This tab shows details on assigned project roles, user groups, individual access, and role assignments in tasks. The information can be displayed in two different ways, depending on your preference.

Roles	Permissions
Open	Open
Displays information on which permissions are granted to each individual role within the space.	Displays information on which users in the space have a specific permission.

Issue security

Displays information about the space’s issue security scheme.

This tab shows the security levels defined in the space and identifies who is authorized to view issues at each security level.
